Research into peat-free seedling soil
In collaboration with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) and four other substrate suppliers, we are conducting trials with peat-free propagation substrates for plants such as Impatiens, Petunia, Lobelia, and Pelargonium.
It is particularly encouraging when our substrate performs well, as it confirms that our research and previous trials have been worthwhile.
In the photos, the differences between the mixtures are clearly visible. This once again highlights that switching to a peat-free substrate is not something you can do overnight. Each crop can respond differently.
